Kickstarter Zombie fun …sending a Zombie into space (for real)

These days it is not enough to just post a video on Kickstarter if you are hoping to get funding… you need to really kick it up a notch. Nick Nicolaou – a good friend of fxguide and his team at Make-Up Effects Group (I, Frankenstein, The Wolverine, Avatar, The Matrix) has certainly done that.
Nick has just launched a Kickstarter Campaign for his film Mary Doe , the film is a Horror/Thriller feature film, in the vein of such classic films as: Alien, The Thing, Dawn of the Dead and The Terminator. It will blend state of the art “old school” practical effects, thrills and chills, with an exciting and intelligent story.

As part of the ongoing campaign Nick and the team are posting a series of entertaining and frankly sort of insanely mad videos – such as this one below-  which saw them launch an (animatronic) zombie into space (well very very high orbit) . When you see how much these guys are putting into the campaign – we can’t wait to see what they will do in a whole movie !
